CaseTrust for Education

The CasTrust for Education scheme has been customized specifically by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) for the education industry in Singapore. The scheme will enhance the confidence of international students and their parents in the quality of education in Singapore. For more information, please refer to CASE website at www.case.org.sg/casetrust5.htm.

APMI has in place a Student Protection Scheme (SPS) with effective from 1 Dec 2004 as stipulated by CASE by way of a Student Tuition Fee Account (Escrow) and Student Tuition Fee Insurance Scheme.

Student Tuition Fee Account (Escrow):
APMI has entered into a master escrow agreement between CASE and the Development Bank of Singapore Limited (the "Master Escrow Agreement"). The Master Escrow Agreement sets out, inter alia, the details upon which APMI has established an escrow account with the Development Bank of Singapore Limited (the "Escrow Account" with the "Escrow Bank") for the purposes of receiving payment of the Student's Tuition Fees and the circumstances in which the amounts in the Escrow Account shall be payable to APMI and/or the Student: For detailed information, please refer to here.

Student Tuition Fee Insurance Scheme
Our Student Tuition Fee Insurance Scheme with NTUC Income indemnifies students for their tuition fees paid in advance under these circumstances:
i) in the event that the APMI is not able to continue operations due to insolvency and/or regulatory closure;
ii) if the APMI fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgements made by the Singapore courts; and
iii) in the event upon death or total permanent disability of the student.
